Your trust center at trust.yourcompany.com, not noticelabs.co
Add a hostname in the admin, point one CNAME record at Notice Labs, and your trust center answers at your own domain. The certificate is issued and renewed for you, and the old noticelabs.co address redirects once it's live.
From £39 a month. No sales call.
A trust center on someone else's domain looks borrowed
A link to noticelabs.co/trust-center/yourcompany works, but it reads like a third party's page, not yours. A security reviewer checking it against your website, or a researcher deciding whether a report form is really yours, notices the mismatch.
trust.yourcompany.com or security.yourcompany.com doesn't have that problem. It sits on your own domain, next to your marketing site and your app, and it's the address you'd put on a security page or in a questionnaire without a second thought.
How it works
- 01
Add the hostname
In the admin, enter the domain you want, such as trust.yourcompany.com.
- 02
Add one CNAME record
At your DNS provider, point that hostname at custom.noticelabs.co. There are no other records to add.
- 03
Verification is automatic
Once the record is live, Notice Labs picks it up and issues the certificate, usually within minutes, though DNS changes can take longer to reach every resolver. Use "Check status" in the admin to see when it's ready.
- 04
The old address redirects
Once your domain is verified, the noticelabs.co address for your trust center redirects to it, so any link already out there still lands in the right place.
The DNS record
One CNAME record, at the DNS provider your domain already uses:
- Type
- CNAME
- Name
- trust (or security, or whatever subdomain you chose)
- Value
- custom.noticelabs.co
The admin shows the same record once you add the hostname, and checks it for you. That's the whole setup.
What it doesn't do
A custom domain has to be one you already control, such as trust.yourcompany.com or security.yourcompany.com. Notice Labs doesn't register or manage domains for you.
It gives your trust center one address on your own domain and handles the certificate for it. On that address the browser tab shows your own favicon, your logo or a generated monogram of your company's initials. The security.txt file is served there too, the report, privacy and access forms open from links on it, such as trust.yourcompany.com/#privacy-request, and the footer can show your legal name, company number and country. The sections, documents and forms are the same trust center either way.
Questions
Straight answers to what people ask before they set this up.
Which subdomain should we use?
Whichever your buyers will recognise. trust.yourcompany.com and security.yourcompany.com are the usual choices. A subdomain leaves your main website where it is and needs only the one CNAME record.
What shows in the browser tab?
The favicon you upload in Settings (a PNG or ICO), or your logo if it's a PNG, JPG or WebP, or a generated monogram made from your company's initials. With no logo at all, the trust center header shows the same monogram on a coloured tile.
Do I need to buy or manage a certificate myself?
No. Once the domain verifies, Notice Labs issues the certificate and renews it. There's nothing to upload or renew on your side.
What happens to links people already have to noticelabs.co?
Once your custom domain is verified, the noticelabs.co address for your trust center redirects to it, so a link already shared in an email or a questionnaire still works.
Can I change the domain later?
Yes. Remove the current domain in the admin, add the new one, and point its CNAME record at custom.noticelabs.co the same way.
Is a custom domain available on every plan?
It's on Pro and Enterprise. Without it, your trust center is still public at its noticelabs.co address.
